# How to Upload and Match an EPC

Attaching the right EPC keeps your evidence pack complete, and MarketRent matches it to the property for you.

## 1. Open the property in rent reviews

Go to Rent Reviews.

Open the relevant property record.

The example property is 18 Hornton Street.

## 2. Start the EPC matching process

From the property page, choose either:

- Match EPC from the action button, or

More at the end of the row and then view your EPCs.

This opens the EPC matching area for the selected property.

## 3. Review the EPC match suggestions

The system automatically searches for EPCs that may match the property.

If an EPC already exists in your system, it should sync automatically.

If no EPC is found, you can upload one manually from this screen.

## 4. Select the correct EPC

Review the suggested EPC match.

Confirm that the property details are correct, such as the address and flat number.

Check the EPC status and expiry date to make sure it is valid and in date.

## 5. Assign the EPC to the property

Click Assign EPC to attach the selected EPC to the property.

Once assigned, the EPC will be linked to the property record.

It will also pull through to the comparable pack sent to the landlord and tenant.

## 6. Confirm the task is complete

Return to the Next Steps area.

Verify that the action to add the EPC has been cleared.

The property is now fully updated and ready to go.
